To upload files to object storage you will need an S3 compatible client such as s3cmd or awscli. s3cmd is available in yum.

yum install s3cmd

Uploading backups to Object Storage

First, configure the S3 client.

s3cmd --configure

Say "no" to testing. Save the config.

Update endpoints in the config file.

sed -i -e "/s/s3.amazonaws.com/objects.liquidweb.services/g" /root/.s3cfg

Test.

s3cmd ls

Create a bucket.

[root@hosting ~]# s3cmd mb s3://mybucket
Bucket 's3://mybucket/' created

After the backup has been created you can upload files to it.

s3cmd put /backup/file.tar.gz s3://mybucket/
